Last year Zoey came to me and said, “I think I wanna try cheer for my high school activity.” We had never done cheer before—never talked about it, didn’t know what to expect. But with her dance background, I thought, why not?
She tried out, made the freshman team, and absolutely loved it. Fast-forward a year—she showed up for tryouts again and was only one of two sophomores to make Varsity! 🙌 She was so thrilled, and we were pumped right along with her.
In just one year, she’s picked up new skills faster than I ever imagined and is one of the team’s flyers.
