Sometimes we think spending time with God has to be long, quiet, and perfectly uninterrupted. But the truth is, most of us don’t have stretches of calm in our day—we have pockets. Small windows where we’re waiting in the car, doing the dishes, or hiding in the bathroom for a minute to ourselves.

And yet… God meets us there, too.

Even five intentional minutes with Scripture can shift your mindset, soften your heart, and pull you back into the peace you’ve been missing. It’s not about doing a “full study” or reading a whole chapter. It’s about creating a moment where your soul can slow down long enough to hear His voice again. And don’t get me wrong—we should absolutely be prioritizing unrushed time in His presence. But during the busy parts of the day, when we’re stretched thin and prone to stress, five minutes in the Word to reset can do wonders for your soul.

Don’t wait for the perfect moment. Set a five-minute alarm and open your Bible.
Let Scripture steady you, one small pause at a time.
