I used to fall asleep feeling like I’d failed my kids—
not because they were difficult,
but because I was trying to carry everything in my own strength.
I looked calm on the outside…
but inside, I was holding everything together by a thread.
My prayers sounded like,
“Lord, forgive me for being harsh,”
when what I really needed was a heart shift—
a desire to run to Him first, not last.
And slowly, God showed me:
My kids are shaped most by my gentleness under pressure.
Their identity is rooted in my words.
From my upcoming book! 💕
