I used to think spiritual maturity meant becoming more self-sufficient.
If I could just be more patient, more organized, more self-controlled... then I’d finally be the mom God wanted me to be.
But the more I depended on myself, the more exhausted I became.
God never asked us to be self-sufficient. He invites us to depend on Him. The goal isn’t proving how strong we are, it’s learning to lean on the One who is.
Maybe the reason you feel worn out isn’t because you’re failing.
Maybe you’re just carrying something God never asked you to carry.
