I’ve always felt this quiet pressure to hurry—
to finish fast, respond quickly, move on before anyone gets frustrated or loses interest.
But I’m realizing that rushing isn’t just a habit.
It’s a nervous system response—a reflex that formed long before I realized where it came from…something I picked up along the way.
Now, when impatience rises, I’m working on reminding myself of a few things:
1. Getting upset won’t make the situation move faster—it will only bring more stress to everyone around me.
2. I don’t have to rush. I can take my time.
3. This delay doesn’t define me.
God isn’t in a hurry with us. It’s okay to slow down.
It’s okay to take your time. Peace doesn’t come from getting there faster—it comes from being in God’s presence and letting Him love you through the process.
