What if the problem isn’t your child’s behavior?
One of the hardest truths I’ve had to learn is that God is often more interested in changing my heart than changing my circumstances.
And that includes motherhood.
When I’m praying for my child to change, God is often inviting me to grow in patience, gentleness, humility, trust, or self-control first.
That doesn’t mean our children’s behavior doesn’t matter. It does.
But before God transforms our homes, He often begins by transforming us.
Today, invite Him to search your heart first.
“Search me, O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts! And see if there be any grievous way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.” Psalm 139:23–24
