Motherhood will bring things out of us we didn’t know were there—impatience, pride, fear, control. But the refining work God wants to do in us isn’t about pointing a finger at all the ways we fall short. It’s about inviting us closer.
Closer to His strength when we feel inadequate.
Closer to His wisdom when we don’t know what to do.
Closer to His grace when we need to start again.
He’s not shaming us—He’s shaping us. 🤍
When we see our flaws mirrored in our children, it’s like God holding up a magnifying glass to the areas He wants to reshape in our hearts. Instead of sinking into guilt or feeling defeated, we have an opportunity to approach God with open hands and ask, “Lord, what are You teaching me here? How can I grow?”
That’s the soft heart God can begin to shape and mold for our good, the good of our kids, and ultimately for His glory. #godsglory #momencouragement #christianmom #autumnmontgomerywrites #refined #godchangeseverything #hisglory #IStoppedPrayingForMyKids #ispfmk
