The only thing you wanted for your 16th birthday was to get your hair done (thank you @hair.design.by.carly) and I love that about you. You make anything and everything an EVENT…because you are the kind of person who can light up a room. You hype people up and celebrate others loudly. When someone feels heavy, you’re the first one to give a hug. That is a gift.
I love that you know your direction and how intentional you are about who gets to walk beside you. You don’t waste time on pettiness. You don’t chase drama. That kind of maturity at sixteen is something special.
But more than anything, it has been a true joy watching you love Jesus. Watching you make wise decisions because of your faith. Watching you choose what reflects Him, even when it would be easier not to. It’s not easy out there, and yet you keep your perspective on higher things.
