The real test of our faith isn’t how we respond when life is easy.
It’s how we respond when we’re under pressure.
Motherhood gives us countless opportunities to react, but Jesus invites us to respond with gentleness instead.
The truth is, gentleness usually isn’t hard when everything is going smoothly. It’s those harder moments that reveal it… the sibling arguments, having to repeat yourself for the tenth time, the long exhausting days, and all the little frustrations you never saw coming.
Anyone can be patient when life is easy. But when we’re under pressure, what’s really in our hearts is often revealed.
That’s why gentleness is more than a parenting skill. It’s evidence of God’s work in us. Every difficult moment becomes an opportunity to rely on the Holy Spirit and respond in a way that reflects Christ. I don’t always love every opportunity, but I know God is working in my heart for the good of my family.
